Angel Tree Program

350,000 children in Canada experience the stigma and separation of having a mother or father in prison. You can let them know they are remembered and loved by their parent this Christmas season.

All it takes to reach out to one child is $30.

Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree Christmas program connects communities with the families of inmates through the delivery of a Christmas gift on behalf of the incarcerated parent. This brings children the joy of receiving a gift, but more importantly it tells them that mom or dad is thinking about them at Christmas time. For inmates, your support helps them experience love during a time marked by guilt and loneliness. Strengthening family ties improves healthy transitions into community. We need your help to bring the hope and joy of Christmas to families impacted by incarceration in the Halifax area.

If you would like to financially sponsor an Angel Tree child, please visit our “donate” page and simply make a memo that your donation is for Angel Tree.

If you or your organization would like to experience the reward of personally purchasing and delivering a gift, please email joy.communitychaplain@gmail.com or call 902.323.2224 for more details.

“This is a very difficult time for me and my daughter. She suffers even though she did no wrong.

Thank you for helping to make her Christmas special.”
